Grissom is part of Oklahoma's A+ School program. Fine Arts opportunities are abundant at Grissom elementary. From art and music classes taught during the school week, to extracurricular classes taught by volunteer artists and musicians, students have many opportunities to express their talents and creativity.

GRISSOM TURNS 50
Did you know Grissom opened in 1969 and was dedicated in April 1970? We are celebrating 50 Golden Years! We have events planned for the school on April 24 and for the community on April 25, including a dedication of our new wing.

Grissom Presents Lion King Kids
Hello Grissom families, we are in the first stages of producing our 4th annual school musical, Lion King KIDS. Music teacher Mr. Gault is giving students in grades 3-5 audition materials in music class this week. Auditions will be held during the school day on December 4th & 6th, with call-backs during the school day on December 11th. We expect the cast will be announced on December 12th.
ALL cast will be required to attend the first rehearsal on December 13th after school, 2:45-4 PM. Regular rehearsals will begin in January, after school on Wednesdays and Fridays. The musical will be performed on February 27th at 6 PM and February 28th at 8:30 AM.
