Three Things to Know

  • School Calendar for 2024-25
  • Indian Education Honor Dance
  • Parent Resource Center Spring Extravaganza

School calendar for 2024-25
Our 2024-25 school calendar is available now. The school year begins on Tuesday, August 20, 2024 and ends on Wednesday, May 21, 2025. You can learn more and find printable calendars in English and Spanish at

This calendar maximizes uninterrupted learning time, aligning teacher planning and professional days with holidays to minimize the impact on instructional days and families. The calendar preserves traditional holidays, full week breaks for Thanksgiving and Spring, and a break in April to support students and teachers. In 2024, fall break for students runs from Friday, October 11 through Tuesday, October 15, encompassing Indigenous Peoples’ Day (Mon, Oct 14) as a holiday, similar to many surrounding school districts and in line with federal holidays. This calendar reflects the input of a working committee, and consultation with our core stakeholders, including families.

Indian Education Honor Dance: Saturday April 13, 2-10pm
Students, families, employees, and community members are invited to the Indian Education team’s first annual Honor Dance celebrating our Indian Education Scholars of Excellence on April 13 from 2-10pm at the Veterans Arena at Memorial High School (5840 S. Hudson Ave). You can learn more about the cultural significance of this traditional event here. This is a come-and-go type of event. Dinner will be served at 6pm, after which our Indian Education Scholars of Excellence will be recognized along with the tribal guests of honor.

Parent Resource Center Spring Extravaganza: Saturday April 13, 10am-1pm

The Spring Extravaganza at the Parent Resource Center (525 E 46th St N, Tulsa, OK 74126) is a showcase event for TPS’ award-winning (and FREE to families!) Ready. Set. Summer! Program. TPS school teams will attend to share about opportunities in their communities and to help parents enroll.
