At the regular board meeting on March 24, our Board of Education approved the calendars for the 2025-2026 and 2026-2027 school years. Our calendar committee worked diligently to develop calendars for the next two school years in order to provide ample time for planning for both families and staff.

As in prior years, the calendar development process includes the consideration of feedback from families, team members, the Tulsa Classroom Teachers Association (TCTA), the American Federation of Teachers (AFT), and the elementary and secondary principals associations.

The 2025-2026 and 2026-2027 calendars will include 168 instructional days for students. The calendar also includes two work days for teachers and six professional learning days for teachers and instructional support professionals, as we continue to prioritize and invest in staff development. With these calendars, we aimed to maximize pockets of time that occur naturally within the calendar while minimizing short weeks. Based on community feedback, we will return to a full week for Fall Break while maintaining a full week holiday for Thanksgiving.

The 2025-2026 school year begins on Wednesday, Aug. 20, 2025 and ends on Thursday, May 28, 2026.

The 2026-2027 school year begins on Wednesday, Aug. 19, 2026 and ends on Friday, May 28, 2027.
