Walkers

Walkers wait in the grassy area near the Children’s House (Pre-K/K)entrance, between our drive and S. 73rd E. Ave., adjacent to the crosswalk.

If crossing S. 73rd E. Ave., please use the crosswalk.

Car Riders

At 7:20, students may get out of cars and enter the building. Parents stay in cars.

• Children's House (Pre-K/K):
  • To begin the year, staff will help students out of cars as they learn the routine.
  • Students enter the doors nearest the Children's House (Pre-K/K) building, under the covered walkway.
• 1st-5th Grades:
  • Enter the main doors, under the blue Grissom awning.
• Families with multi-age students:
  • If you are dropping off both Children's House (Pre-K/K) and 1st-5th, all students should be dropped off in the north lot and enter the Children's House (Pre-K/K) entrance.

Make sure your school has the accurate list of persons approved for picking up your child from school.

Adults must present their photo ID to pick up a student early.  If picking up early please do so before 2:00p.

Car Riders

Children's House (Pre-K-/K) pickup is in the north parking lot outside of the building. Please enter from the north and exit to the north.

• Please have your 'student sign' visible for efficient dismissal.
• Older Siblings of Children's House (Pre-K/K) students will be picked up in the north drive.

1st – 5th grade will pick up outside of the main building and use the south drive. Enter from the south and exit to the south.

• If you are picking up 4th or 5th grade students, once you enter the Grissom parking lot, drive past those cars in the 1st-3rd grade line and past the front steps to get in line for 4th and 5th grade.

School board policy and state law requires that students attend school more than 90% of the days in session. Absences include days and parts of days (anything more than one hour). Students who miss school in excess of 10% of the time may be retained on that basis.
